SALUDA – Willie Judson Richards, 77, of Saluda, passed away, Friday morning, April 24, 2020 at Pardee Hospital.
Born in Polk County, he was the son of the late Willie Osban Richards and Rosa Lee Ballew Richards. Willie was a retired fireman and first responder with Saluda Fire & Rescue. He attended Mountain View Baptist Church in Tuxedo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Jerry, Fred, James, Mack and Bobby; two sisters, Emma Lee Richards and Ruth McClain.
Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Pearl Pace Richards; one son, John Richards (Krystal) of WI; two daughters, Angel Richards and Rose Richards; one brother, Garland Richards of Cowpens; one grandson, Dominic Richards. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday evening, April 27, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with social distancing and capacity guidelines will be followed.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville with Reverend Jonathan Stansell officiating.
