Obituary
On March 10, 2023, the world was deprived of a precious ray of light and love. Talia Petoia, 27, was killed by a handgun, and removed from our family and all the countless others who loved her. Talia was a trusting, loving, energetic young woman with a future that was unfairly removed. Her physical beauty was only surpassed by her vibrant, empathetic and comforting spirit. She was a healer at heart, had a keen sense of humor, and loved to sing and be around those she loved. She was not only a sister and a daughter, but also a great friend to those of us fortunate enough to call her family. The world is darker, our family is missing an essential piece, and we will mourn her, celebrate her, and remember her for all time.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Tryon United Methodist Church in Tryon, North Carolina.
