Lynda (Stone) Moss

TRYON – Lynda Corrine Stone Moss, 72, of Tryon, went home to be with the Lord Thursday evening, April 27, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Augusta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late George Henry Stone and Mary Allen Stone. Lynda was a graduate of Carolina High School in Greenville and moved to Tryon in 1995. Lynda earned her C.N.A. and worked for St. Luke’s Hospital. She later became a private C.N.A. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Lynda was a faithful member of Tryon Church of God where she taught Sunday school and played the organ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Allen Stone.

Surviving is her husband of 28 years, William “Billy” Moss; two daughters, Tina Flaherty (Charles) Williamston and Anita Lovelace (Tony) of Forest City; three grandchildren, Liam Flaherty, Charles Evan Flaherty and James “Pumpkin” Lovelace; one brother, Robert Stone of Greenville; one sister-in-law, Lisa Stone; mother-in-law, Annie Mae Moss of Tryon; best friends, Ronnie and Nela Loflin. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Lynda’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2023 at Tryon Church of God with Reverend Lester Lambert officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
