Julie Rest Wilkison Gordon, age 78, of Columbus passed away peacefully in her home on January 31, 2021. 

Julie was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Walter D. Wilkison  and Lois M. Lane.  She was a graduate from St. Petersburg High School and St. Petersburg Junior College in St. Petersburg, Florida and spent her career working as a graphics illustrator for Boeing Industries and later for NASA in Florida.

Julie Rest Wilkison Gordon, age 78, of Columbus passed away peacefully in her home on January 31, 2021. 

Julie was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Walter D. Wilkison  and Lois M. Lane.  She was a graduate from St. Petersburg High School and St. Petersburg Junior College in St. Petersburg, Florida and spent her career working as a graphics illustrator for Boeing Industries and later for NASA in Florida.

Julie had a great love for animals, enjoying the companionship of many dogs, cats, and horses during her life.  She also had a particularly sharp mind, and excelled at mysteries, puzzles, bridge, and having a laugh. 

Upon retirement, Julie moved to the area to be closer to family, and spent her time volunteering at the Foothills Equestrian and Nature Center (FENCE). She also was a generous philanthropist, supporting many local charities including FENCE and the Foothills Humane Society.

Surviving her are her brother, David Wilkison (Patricia) of Shelby, NC, and five nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lois Ann Wilkison, and a beloved cousin, Robert W. Evans.

No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Foothills Equestrian and Nature Center (FENCE) or the Foothills Humane Society.
