Inez Metcalf Hudson

SUNNY VIEW – Inez Metcalf Hudson, 86, of Sunny View, passed away, Monday afternoon, May 9, 2022 at Ridge Rest Assisted Living.

Born in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Metcalf and Addie Bradley Metcalf and wife of the late Robert “Bob” Hudson who passed away in 1998. Mrs. Hudson loved gardening, quilting and sewing. She was a member of Big Level Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sherry Walker; two brothers, R.C. Metcalf and Sanford Metcalf.

Surviving in one son, Russell Hudson of Sunny View; one step-son, Charles Hudson of Atlanta, GA; three step-daughters, Pat Hawkins of Smyrna, GA, Beth Hudson of Atlanta, GA and Janice Wilkins of Augusta, GA; two grandsons, Lukas Hudson and Matthew Hudson; two brothers, Andy Metcalf (Judy) of Sunny View and Hubert Metcalf (Ann) of Green Creek; three sisters, Winnell Bailey, Rachel Hodge both of Sunny View and Lucille Greene of Myrtle Beach. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Big Level Baptist Church with Reverend Warren Elliott officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the church.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
