Bryson "Cowboy" Ogle

On Thursday May 11th, John “Bryson” aka Cowboy Ogle, age 10, passed in his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was a true hero and fought hard every day with his debilitating disease, Lissencephaly. Bryson is now in the arms of Jesus, running through the streets of gold, talking and fully whole.

Bryson is survived by his parents BJ and Jane Peterson Ogle of Mill Spring, NC and sister Macie Ogle. Bryson also leaves behind grandmothers Dale Wilson and Beverly Dillon, aunts Jennifer Ogle Lynch, Sandi Cole, Mary Peterson and Kim Peterson. His cousins he leaves behind include Hunter Lynch, Caitlin Peterson, Hannah Peterson, Avery Hargro, Kloie Peterson, Coleman Peterson, Zariyah Ramirez. Special family members also include Krista Ramirez and Dimi Ortiz and all the in-home care team who helped care for Bryson over the years. We could not have done life without you all. He was preceded in death by Grand-father’s John Howard Peterson, John “Roger” Ogle, and Lee Dillon as well as his uncle, John Smith “Smitty” Peterson.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 26th from 5pm-8pm at Big Level Baptist Church, 4940 Big Level Rd., Mill Spring, NC 28756.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 27th at 2pm. at Big Level Baptist Church in Mill Spring, NC officiated by Rev. Sean McKaig.

Bryson was a cowboy at heart. The family welcomes you to wear cowboy boots to the service as a way to honor Bryson.
