Obituary
SALUDA –
Zachary David Garcia, 21, of the Fork Creek Community in Saluda, passed away unexpectedly, Friday evening, August 30, 2024.
Born in Hendersonville, he was the son of Jose Ismeal Garcia of Mexico and Jessica Summey Garcia of Hendersonville. Zachary was a graduate of Owen High School and went on to work at Ace Hardware in Hendersonville. Zachary enjoyed everything having to do with the outdoors, bonfires, mountain biking etc.…
Zachary was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Reverend David L. Summey.
Surviving in addition to his parents are one brother, Isaiah Garcia of Union Mills; three sisters, Emily Garcia of Saluda, Abigail Garcia of Saluda and Natalie Garcia of Mill Spring; maternal grandmother, Becky Metcalf Summey of Saluda; one uncle, Larry Summey of Saluda; one aunt, Kelly Summey Pace of Saluda; his best-friend, Max Wagoner. Also surviving are many cousins.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Fork Creek Baptist Church in Saluda.
A funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the church with Reverend Jimmy Metcalf officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
