UNA, SC - Yamil Ruiz Cedeno, 36, of Una, SC died Thursday, August 7, 2008. Born in Cuba, he was the son of Rodolfo Cedeno of Tryon, NC and the late Minerva Ruiz. Surviving in addition to his father is one son, Eric Cedeno of TN; one daughter, Loren Cedeno of Spartanburg, SC; one sister, Vivian Worthington of Gaffney, SC. Also surviving are four nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Bill Adair officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Yamil R. Cedeno Memorial Fund, c/o McFarland Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 280, Tryon, NC 28782 to help the family with funeral expenses.
