Landrum, SC - Wyllys Hard Taylor, 86, of Campobello, SC died Saturday, May l7, 2014 at his home.Born in Gastonia, NC he was the son of the late Wyllys H. and Nadene Hayden Taylor. He had lived in Greenville, SC for approximately 50 years prior to moving to the Landrum area in 2000. Wyllys had a lengthy career with New York Life Insurance.Surviving are: his wife Cathy Cockman Taylor of the home; five daughters, Elizabeth Ramsey (Charles) of Tryon, NC; Missy Scanlon of Lexington, KY; Dawn Figlio (Rick) of Tallahassee, FL; Caroline Head (Matthew) of Woodruff, SC; and Alissa Cockman of Landrum, SC. Also surviving are 3 granddaughters.Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
