LYNN, NC -- William "Bid" Ravan, 65, of Lynn, NC passed away Saturday morning, August 1, 2009 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Asheville, NC.Born in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late John D. and Nell Dedman Ravan. Mr. Ravan was an avid softball player and hunter. He was of the Baptist faith.Surviving is one son, Niki Ravan of Lynn, NC; two daughters, Xan Ravan Morse (Jody) of Lynn, NC and Brittany Ravan of Hendersonville, NC; one step-daughter, April Cox (Dustin) of Hendersonville, NC; three brothers, Charles Ravan of Moncks Corner, SC, Jerry "Shine" Ravan and Phillip Ravan both of Columbus, NC; two sisters, Shirley Nunn of Rutherfordton, NC and Diane Recca of Simpsonville, SC. Also surviving are two grandsons, William and Nicholas Morse and many nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2009 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Elliott and Rev.
