Tryon, N.C. - William Brandon Walcott Horne, 25, of 144 Walcott Farm Lane, Tryon, NC, died Monday, November 16, 2009, in Pardee Hospital, Hendersonville, NC. Born in Polk County, NC, he was the son of Rennie Foster Habel of Tryon, NC and Billy Horne of Green Creek, NC. A 2002 graduate of Polk County High he received a BS in Management from the University of North Carolina Asheville. Brandon was a past employee of Tryon Federal Bank, Columbus NC. B's family and friends will remember him as loyal and loving. He was known for being sarcastic and full of life. He was a fighter to the end. Surviving are: his wife, Jolene Liana Clark Horne of the Home; Father, Billy Horne of Green Creek, NC; Mother, Rennie Foster Habel and Stepfather Steve Habel of Tryon, NC; twin sisters, Ashley Horne of Washington, DC and Rebecca Horne of Columbia, SC; Paternal grandparents Ray & Mildred Horne of Green Creek, NC; Step siblings Nathaniel and Jessica Habel of Asheville, NC. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.
