William Thomas Hessler, Sr., 62, of Mill Spring, NC, passed away on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.He was the son of James Hessler and Geraldine Waskom Hessler. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Quartermaster and was active during the Vietnam conflict. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son-in-law, and brother-in-law.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Diana Reed.Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Janice Lee Hessler, of Mill Spring, NC; his mother, Geraldine Waskom Hessler; two sons, William Thomas Hessler, Jr. (Renee) of Asheville, NC, and James Harold Hessler (Jennifer) of Mill Spring, NC; one grandson, Graham Michael Hessler of Mill Spring, NC; two sisters and one brother.
