Spartanburg, SC -- William Oscar Green, 77, of 250 H.L. Barksdale Building died Saturday, February 16, 2008 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC. Born in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late William Oscar and Martha L. Corn Green. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Korea. Surviving is his companion, Lois Peace; one brother, Delmer Green of Campobello, SC. Also several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC.
