William “Bill” Davis, 76, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2026 while surrounded by family.
Born and raised in Haywood County, NC, he was the son of the late Joe Silas and Vennice Giles Davis. In 1970, Bill married Dianne Reagan and in 1977, together they purchased a dairy farm in Polk County which later became known as Timberbrook Farm. Bill’s moto was “if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life”. Bill dedicated his life to building a successful family farm, all while being a devoted husband, father and Papa. Above all else, he always put Christ first in his life. Bill was currently serving on Polk County Soil and Water Board, and on the Polk County Farm Bureau Board. He was a member of West Point Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Davis, and a sister, Joyce Hudgins.
Surviving is his of wife 55 years, Dianne Reagan Davis; two sons, Matt Davis and his wife Valerie, Mitch Davis and his wife Mary Ann; five grandchildren, Natalee Valentine (Sawyer), Rachael Davis (Jordan), Chloe Jackson (Tye), Hunter Davis and Anna Joy Davis; one great granddaughter, Maybree Valentine; one sister, Marie Ferguson; his right hand man, Placido Telefor and family; his bonus son, Michael Kerr; and his uncle, Bill Davis. Also surviving are his in-laws, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at West Point Baptist Church, in Rutherfordton, NC with Pastor Lance Scarlett and Pastor Heath Davis officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Point Baptist Church designated to Building Fund or Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, 1160 Union Road, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
