Landrum, S.C. - Virl Ann Momier, 92, of Landrum, S.C. passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. She was the widow of the late Joseph S. Momier and the daughter of the late Otho Otis and Geneva Ruth Brittain Morrow of Spartanburg County. Virl Ann was retired from the U.S. Naval Shipyard, Charleston, S.C. She was a member of John's Island Presbyterian Church and Landrum Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sons: Joseph S. Momier Jr. (Lynette) and James M. Momier (Aletha); three grandchildren, James Momier Jr., Shane Momier and Joseph Raybourne Momier; great-grandchildren, Atlas Momier and Kasey L. Momier; brother, Doyce L. Morrow; niece, Karen L. Morrow; two step-brothers, George Morrow and Kenneth Morrow. She was predeceased by her sister, Lenna V. Morrow and step-brother, Otis Morrow. Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m. Saturday May 9, 2015 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Dr. Gene Lassiter and Pastor Tom Malone officiating. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:45 p.m. Saturday just prior to the service in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC. Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 in the Wellford Cemetery, Wellford, SC.
