Obituary

Charleston, SC - Virginia Imogene Willis Fisher, 79, of Spartanburg, S.C. passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 in Charleston, SC. Wife of the late Jessie J. Fisher, she was the daughter of the late Laura Fisher Willis and Eulys E. Willis. A former employee of Draper Corporation, she was a member of Cannon Campground United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and choir member. Survivors are: a son, Steven C. Kirby of Monument, CO; Grandson, Scott L. Kirby of Spartanburg, SC; a great-grandson Nathanael, and a step-grandson Jessie Grizzle of Monument, Co. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother Donald E. Willis of Charleston, SC; and a stepson Hal Fisher of Lake Bowen, S.C.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2014, in Cannon Campground Methodist Church, Spartanburg, SC, with Rev. Mac Kinnett and Rev. Ken Bobo officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in Cannon Campground Methodist Church. Burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg, SC.Memorials may be made to the food pantry at Cannon Campground United Methodist Church 3450 Cannon Campground Road Spartanburg S.C. 29307.
