Vicki L. LanningColumbus, NC - Vicki Lee Garvin Lanning, 57, of Lanning Drive, Columbus, NC died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at her home. Born in Sanford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Eugene E. and Monica Harris Garvin. A Girl Scout Leader for many years, she was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Tryon, NC. Surviving are her husband, Joe L. Lanning; two daughters, Paula Rasberry of Thomasville, NC and Jennifer Watkins of Columbus, NC; two sisters, Virginia Lanning of Columbus, NC and Wendy Parton of Candler, NC; one brother, Terrance Garvin of Columbus, NC. Two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Hannah Watkins. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, November 17, 2006 in St. John's Catholic Church, Tryon, NC with Father Patrick Winslow officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC
