Tony Allan Thompson, age 58, passed away Friday morning, July 30, 2021, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Forest City, surrounded by family and friends and the unsung Heroes who sacrifice each and every day to give all their patients respect and compassion as they administer comfort care at end of life.He was native of Polk County, the son of the late Jimmy Thompson and proceeded in death by sister Anna Marie McAbee, (Dennis). Tony was a Senior Project Superintendent at Keen Solutions based in Iowa, being an independent contractor, he was well traveled across the Northwest for more than 35 years.He is survived by the love of his life of 11 years, Debbie Burnett Lawter; one daughter, Chalyn Thompson Kerr (Warren); his mother, Gladys Ruff Melton; one brother, Barry Thompson; one nephew, Dr. James McAbee of New Orleans, La.; two nieces, Kelia Thompson Maner, (Jason) Ellenboro NC, Katie Thompson Briscoe of Augusta, Ga.Per Tony's request, no services are planned.
