SALUDA, NC - Timothy Frost Beyer, 65, of Saluda, NC died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 during a round of golf with friends.Born in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Ralph and Florence Beyer. He was a graduate of Solon High School, Solon, OH and later graduated from Tri-State University in Angola, IN and Kent State University in Kent, OH majoring in Industrial Arts. Mr. Beyer moved to Saluda 30 years ago coming from Solon, OH. During his time in Saluda, he worked for Asheville Industries, owned T&R Furniture and worked for Saluda Construction Company/Saluda Realty Company. Surviving are two brothers, Rick Beyer (Alexandra) and Jim Beyer (Kathy). Also surviving are several nieces and one nephew and several great nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2012 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Bruce Jayne officiating.The family will receive friends prior to the service Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.Memorials may be made to Saluda Medical Center, 86 Greenville Street, Saluda, NC 28773, Alzheimer's Association National Office, 225 N.
