Columbus N.C. - Thomas Barham Holmes, 94, died Monday, January 4, 2010 in White Oak Manor Nursing Home. Born in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Harold and Mamie Barham Holmes. He was a member of the Cracker Barrel Club and the Tryon United Methodist Church, Tryon, NC. Surviving is his wife of 73 years, Charlotte Clement Holmes; a son, Thomas C. Holmes (Bernice) of Rockton, IL; a daughter, Kathye Lee Kohl of Sewell, NJ; a sister, Hazel McIntosh of Studio City, CA. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Private memorial services will be held in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC. Memorials may be made to Piedmont Council, Boy Scouts of America, P.O. Box 1059, Gastonia, NC 28053.
