THOMAS DOLAN TRYON, NC - Thomas Dolan, 67, of Tryon, NC died Saturday, August 5, 2006 at his home. Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late John Michael and Marcella Christine McKay Dolan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Dolan retired from IBM after 28 years of service and worked for Lockwood Green Architectural Engineers in Spartanburg, SC. He moved to North Carolina in 1993. Surviving include his wife, Kathleen Cronin Dolan; two sons, Sean Michael Dolan of Summit, NJ and Major Thomas Patrick Dolan, USMC of San Diego, CA; two daughters, Mary Ann Dolan Bauer of Summit, NJ and Colleen Christine Dolan Magin of Columbus, NC; one sister, Patricia Meegan of Melbourne, FL. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2006 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tryon, NC with Father Patrick Winslow officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening August 11, 2006 with Jason Barone, Seminarian reciting the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.
