Columbus, N.C. - Sylvia Blaustein Kaslofsky, 85, of McDowell Road, Columbus, NC died Sunday, September 27, 2009 at her home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Rubin and Anna Green Blaustein. She was married for more than 50 years to the late Joseph Kaslofsky before moving to Columbus in 2005 from Miami. Surviving are: three daughters, Elyse B. Kaslofsky of Columbus, NC, Ilene Markus of Miami, FL and Evelyn Quijano of Columbus, NC; a son, Jeffrey Kaslofsky of Miami, FL: Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved, Forrest C. Worley. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2009 in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Miami, FL. Shiva, a celebration of her life with family and friends, will be held immediately following the funeral service and continuing through Friday at the home of her daughter, Ilene Markus, 12155 SW 92nd Ave., Miami, FL.
