Columbus, N.C. - Sybil Parham Burrell, 93, of Penny Lane, Columbus, NC, died Sunday, September 28, 2008 in St. Luke's Hospital, Columbus, NC. Born in Polk Co., NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Emma Covil Parham. She was the widow of James Harley Burrell who died in 1992. Mrs. Burrell was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Tryon where she had served as the Assistant Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. Surviving are: two sons, Mike Burrell of Columbus, NC and Paul Burrell of Spartanburg, SC; a daughter, Bonnie Mungo of Cranston, RI. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Graveside services were held Tuesday, September 30, 2008 in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC with Rev.
