In loving memory of Sally (Suzanne) Huffaker, 97, who died peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 1, at White Oak Manor. She was the wife of the late Gregory Dorian Huffaker Sr.She is survived by her three children, Greg, Laurie and Shelley; her grandchildren, Greg, Todd and Kim; and great-grandchildren, Becca and Roman. Sally earned a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University, and had a career working for the state of New Jersey as a social worker with adults with developmental disabilities, creating innovative social service programs for this population. She was a long-time resident of Tryon, and well-known within the community. She was active in church and volunteer organizations, and led a very active social life.Her zest for life and sense of fun will be remembered by all who knew her.Donations can be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills or Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry in Columbus.
