KANNAPOLIS -- Susan Covil, 75, of 1607 Barbara Ann Circle, Kannapolis, NC, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023 in Hospice of Rutherford County, NC after a short illness.

She was born in Tryon, NC, the daughter of the late Clyde and Lillian Covil. Susan was a therapist in Rutherfordton and Lincolnton for 30 years. She loved to watch movies, dance, travel, tell stories, and have tea parties.

She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Bridges, wife Rhonda, and her brother, Thomas Covil. She is survived by her two daughters: Stephanie Bridges McCabe, husband Kevin; and Paula Bridges Ervin, husband Paul. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren: Megan, wife Elizabeth, Michael II, James, Jacob, Danielle, and Lily.

Per her request, services will be private. The family invites friends/acquaintances to please privately celebrate our mother's memory in your own ways. We know that she will be with us all in spirit.
