LAKE LURE, NC - Stuart Wayne Richardson, 77, of Lake Lure, NC passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC following a brief illness.Born in Aurora, IL, he was the son of the late Stuart Raymond and Catherine Walt Richardson. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Richardson worked for Deloitte CPA Firm for 40 years and retired as a Partner in 1997. He retired to Lake Lure, NC in 1997 coming from Naperville, IL. Mr. Richardson was a member of the American Institute of CPA's, the Illinois Institute of CPA's and served on the Lake Lure ABC Board. He enjoyed golf, traveling and reading. Mr. Richardson was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Tryon, NC.Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Mary Jane Richardson; three daughters, Sue Houser of Arden, NC, Pam Klaus of Marysville, OH and Amy Bourke of Muskego, WI; one son, Gregory Richardson of Downingtown, PA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 in St. John's Catholic Church, Tryon, NC with Father John Ekert officiating.Memorials may be made to Rose Hill Center, 513 Rose Hill Blvd., Holly, MI 48442 www.rosehillcenter.org
