Landrum, SC- Stewart Bradley Reid, 55, of Landrum, S.C., past away Sunday morning, October 5, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC following a sudden illness. Born in Polk County, N.C., he was the son of Spencer W. and Isabel Bradley Reid of Saluda, NC. Stewart was a graduate of Tryon High School Class of 1977 and a graduate of Blue Ridge Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree. He worked in the computer programming industry for many years, and he was the current co-owner of Professional Auto in Columbus, N.C. Stewart was an avid golfer playing in many benefit tournaments. He was of the Baptist faith, and he attended Tryon Second Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his parents are: a brother, Gary Reid (Melanie) of Saluda, N.C., a nephew, Dustin Webb of Etowah, N.C., and a niece, Samantha Richardson (Matt) of Rutherfordton, N.C. A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 9, 2014 in Tryon Second Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Jones and Rev. Lynn Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Saluda, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel. At other times, the family will be the home of his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Spencer W. Reid, Holbert Cove Road, Saluda, NC.
