Shirley Anne Waters McDowell, 81, of Landrum, passed away, Thursday morning, December 5, 2019 at Autumn Care of Saluda.Born in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Louvina Green Waters and widow of Ben Harold McDowell who passed away in 1991. Mrs. McDowell retired from Hatch Plant after 45 years of service and was a member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy McCraw.Surviving are one son, Harold Dean McDowell of Lynn; one daughter, Kathy Conner (Ray) of Columbus; three grandchildren, Christopher McDowell, Andrew McDowell and Joshua McCraw.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 in Polk Memorial Gardens with Dr. Chris Osborn officiating.
