Tryon, NC - Sara "Sally" Hillis Brennison, 94, passed away in her sleep after a long illness on May 24, 2015.Born March 7, 1921 in Allendale, SC,she was the daughter of the late Ted & Sara Hammond Hillis. Sally grew up in Charlotte, NC, graduating from Central High School and later attending Queens College. She was the middle of three children, Francis & James, both of whom preceded her in death. In l945 she married Art Henry Brennison, Jr., a captain in the U. S. Army, following his return from Europe. They were married 50 years prior to his death in l995. Surviving are: daughter, Mary Anne Brennison of Anderson, SC and son, Thomas Arthur Brennison (Robin) of Fayetteville, GA, grandchildren Jennifer, Michael and Steven Brennison.A quiet family gathering will he held graveside Thursday, June 11th at 1:00 PM at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Lexington, SC.
