Ruth Josephine Combs, claimed the resurrection to new life on May 10, 2022, surrounded by her three daughters Cynthia Reid (Terry) Phoenix, AZ, Gail Combs, Columbus, NC, Sharon Combs, Mechanicsville, VA.  Ruth was born 5/17/31 and raised in Vineland, NJ with her sister Charlotte Cassacci (Paul).  She graduated from Montclair State Teacher's College and later became a stewardess with Capital Airlines where she met her love, Homer Edward Combs of Ohio.  They raised their girls in South Kent, CT.  Eddie passed in 1983.Ruth retired to Mill Spring, NC, in 1990 where she raised Angora goats and soon became a weaver at Tryon Arts & Crafts.The family wishes to thank her caregivers Joyce and Donna, and especially her most devoted caregiver, Beth.  She leaves behind grandchildren Christopher Reid (Jennifer), Patrick Reid, great-grandchildren, Cael & Kayden and many nieces, nephews and friends to cherish her memory. The family will have a private service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Ruth's memory to the Tryon Arts & Crafts, weaver's program.
