- Roy Walker Johnson passed away on October 28, 2016 at the age of 70. Roy was born to the late Hillard and Edna Mae Johnson in Saluda, NC. Roy worked for many years as an accountant, owning his own firm in the Polk County area. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and searching for ginseng. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Henderson Johnson and a son, David Israel Johnson.Roy is survived by a daughter Rebecca Allison and her husband Phillip. Also surviving are numerous cousins.A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Saluda, NC with Mr. James A. Metcalf officiating.Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
