Roy Grady BurrellLynn, NC - Roy Grady Burrell, 75, of Thermal View Dr., Lynn, NC went home to be with His Lord Wednesday June 7, 2006 in Spartanburg Regional Heart Center, Spartanburg, SC. A native of Polk County, he was the son of the late Clingman " C.P." and Rosa Lindsey Burrell. He was a member of Pacolet Baptist Church, Lynn, NC and a long-time deacon in the Baptist Church. A veteran of the Korean War he was retired after 35 years from Mohawk Industries in Landrum, SC. Surviving are his wife of 52 years Nancy Nodine Burrell of the home; 2 daughters, Joyce B. (Jim) Smith of Inman, SC and Jeannie B. (Daniel) Mach of Tryon, NC; two sons, Bruce R. Burrell of Columbus, NC and Timothy N. Burrell of Lynn, NC; two sisters, Launa B. Metcalf and Martha B. Covil both of Lynn, NC. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Brian Smith (April) of Huntsville, AL; Joshua Smith of Greenville, SC; Lisa Burrell of Tryon, NC; Mark Burrell of Columbus, NC; Christopher Smith of Inman, SC and Jonathan Burrell of Columbus, NC. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2006 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Aaron Pruitt and Rev. Bruce Norville officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC with Military Rites by the Polk County Burial Squad. Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2006 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC.
