Tryon, N.C. - Rometta Young Ford, 77, of Red Fox Road died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, SC.Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Dewey G. and Daisy Revis Young, and the wife of George K. Ford.Rometta was a member of Lynn First Baptist Church where she served as the core of the music program for many years. She worked as an Accountant for Dobson, Jones, Ball, Phillips and Bridges, P.A. firm in Greenville, SC. Rometta loved gardening, music, and shopping for antiques.Surviving is her husband of 24 years, George K. Ford, of the home, her immediate family, sons and grandchrildren, extended family of cousins, many friends and her church family.Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 10th at 12:00 noon, at Lynn First Baptist Church, 339 Thermal View Drive, Tryon, NC 28782, with visitation from 11:00am to 11:45am at the church. Interment will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC.In memory and honor of Rometta, family has requested donations be made directly to Lynn First Baptist Church to fund the music program.
