COLUMBUS, NC -- Robert Frank Spreeman, 78, of Matthew St., (Green Creek Community), Columbus, NC, died Monday, December 11, 2006 in Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care in Spartanburg, SC. Born in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Otto and Florence Spreeman. He was a veteran of the US Army Intelligence having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Spreeman was originally from Bergen County, NJ and moved to Polk County in 1998 from Statesville, NC. He was a retired Architect. Mr. Spreeman was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church/Missouri Synod in Tryon, NC.Surviving is his wife, Theresa "Terry" Spreeman of the home. Two daughters, Norma and Paula. Also surviving is one granddaughter, Taylor.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Tryon, NC with Rev. Darvin A. Herman officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
