Robert Justin Lawrence, 46, of Tryon, passed away, Friday morning, October 29, 2021, at Upstate Community Hospice House.Born in Spartanburg, he was the son of Carol Page Lawrence of Tryon and the late Robert Lawrence. He was a graduate of Polk County High School Class of 1993 and went on to Western Carolina University and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. For many years, he worked for D.B. Roberts. He enjoyed spending time at the lake but just being outdoors was his passion. He has served on the board and past president of Tryon Children's Theatre.Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife of 15 years, Karen Stallings Lawrence; three daughters, Cora, Caroline, and Claire; one brother, Britt Lawrence of Gainesville, VA; two nephews, Skyler, and Jameson; one niece, Isabelle; one uncle, Fred Lawrence of Landrum.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening, October 30, 2021, at the McFarland Funeral Chapel.A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2021, in Polk Memorial Gardens.Memorials may be made to Tryon Children's Theatre Festival (Super Saturday), Post Office Box 422, Tryon, North Carolina 28782.
