INMAN, SC - Robert "Bob" Cooley, 87, of Inman, SC passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC.Born in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Volney F. and Lillian Hines Cooley. Mr. Cooley was a graduate of Wofford College, president and owner of Cooley Transport, Inc, member of the Aircraft Owner and Pilots Association, S.C. Trucking Association and the U.S. Tennis Association. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.Surviving is one daughter, Jan Cooley (Robert Arthur) of Spartanburg, SC; one sister, Zenith Ann Canter (Reg) of Spartanburg, SC.A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 in New Hope United Methodist Church in Green Creek, NC with Rev. Butch Osborn officiating.Burial will be in Sandy Springs First Baptist Church Cemetery, Green Creek, NC.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.Memorials may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
