Columbus, N.C. - Rickie Green Ashley, 50, of 1875 Skyuka Road, Columbus, NC died Thursday, May 4, 2006. Born in Rutherford Co., NC she was the daughter of Clifford and Lillie Mae Pack Green of Tryon, NC. A 1973 graduate of Polk Central High School, she was employed by the Polk County School System for the past eleven years. She received her cosmetology license after completing school at Isothermal Community College. Rickie was a member of the Columbus Presbyterian Church, Columbus, NC. Surviving in addition to her parents are: a daughter, Cortney Ashley, a son, Colby Ashley and her husband Randy Ashley all of the home; a brother, Tony Green of Columbus, NC; two sisters, Dinell Green and Teresa Green both of Tryon, NC. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, May 7, 2006, in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Buren Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Mill Spring First Baptist Church Cemetery, Mill Spring, NC. Family to receive friends from 6:30pm to 8:00pm Saturday night in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC.
