Richard "Dick" H. Brown, 83, of Saluda, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday afternoon, October 3, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family following a long illness.Born in Buffalo, NY on November 22, 1934, he was the son of the late Herbert and Mildred Le Valley Brown. Mr. Brown worked his entire career in the auto body profession and retired from Stott's Ford, Tryon in 2001. Mr. Brown and his wife moved to Saluda in 1971 coming from Davie, FL.Mr. Brown was a loving husband, father, grandfather and most of all, he lived a Christian life.Surviving is his loving wife of 49 years, Carol Kresa Brown; one son, Ricky Brown (Angie); two daughters, Jennifer Herbert and Linda Barton (Matthew); two grandchildren, Caleb and Katey Brown.The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, October 7, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the family's home.Memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Hendersonville, NC 28731.An online guest register is available at www.mcfarlandfuneralchapel.com
