COLUMBUS, NC -- Reina Engar Gross Berlinger, 69, of Jackson Grove Rd., Columbus, NC died Friday, October 02, 2009 in St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC.Born in New York City, NY she was the daughter of the late Harold Engar. She moved to Polk County in 2001 from Chicago, IL. Mrs. Berlinger was an Artist and President of Tryon Fine Arts. She was an accomplished musician.Surviving is her husband, Dr. Frederick G. Berlinger. Two brothers, Stewart Engar of CT, and Randy Engar of FL. Also 2 grandchildren, Jacob and Zoe.No services are planned.
