Tryon, NC-- Rachel Pittman Williams, 84 of Miller Drive, Tryon N.C. died Sunday December 11, 2011 at her home. Born in Tryon, NC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha McClure Pittman. She was the widow of Roy L. Williams who died in 1993. A graduate of Tryon High School she attended Cecil's Business College. She and her husband ran the "Little Frame Maker" Shop in Tryon for approximately thirty years. She was a member of Tryon First Baptist Church. Surviving is a son, Arthur Williams (Stephanie) of Cedar Mountain, NC; two brothers, Clyde Pittman of Tryon, NC and Jack Pittman (Sue) of Longview, TX. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tabitha, Brooke, Taylor, and Shane Williams. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC with Rev. Jeff Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45pm Wednesday just prior to the service in the McFarland Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Boys & Girls Club, P. O.
