Obituary

LANDRUM – Phillip "Fat Packy" Audrey Pack, 82, of Landrum, died Friday morning, January 24, 2025.

He was born in Tryon, North Carolina and was the son of the late Georgia Screven Pack and Arthur Pack. Phillip was a graduate of Tryon City Schools, Class of 1960 and was a diehard fan of Tryon Tigers, N.C. State Wolfpack and Dale Earnhardt. He retired after working for Windstream Telephone Company for 42 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mickey Pack; one sister, Jennie Pack Bradshaw.

He is survived by his spouse, Kathleen "Kathy" Ballew Pack; one son, Kevin P. Pack (Amanda) of Rock Hill, South Carolina; two granddaughters, Shelby Pack of New York City, New York and Rileigh Pack of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Frances Pack McCain (Jim) of Tryon, North Carolina. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at his request.
