LANDRUM, SC - Pearl Moss Alewine of Landrum, SC passed away Friday evening, March 8, 2013 following a long illness.Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Ida Newman Moss. She was preceded in death by a son, Lionel P. Greene, Jr. She was of the Holiness faith.Surviving is a beloved friend and caregiver, Lloyd Tessneer of Landrum, SC; one daughter, Dorothy Plumley (Sid) of Campobello, SC; grandchildren, Terry Greene (Donna) of Campobello, SC; Tonya Chavis (Charlie) of Inman, SC, Curtis Plumley (Jill) of Inman, SC, Cindy Gramling (Marion) of Gramling, SC, Crystal McSwain (Ritchie) of Campobello, SC, Robin Bolt (Danny) and (Lacey) of Landrum, SC and Ricky Tessneer of Landrum, SC. Also surviving are nine great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Freddie Siegfried and Rev. Hambone Camp officiating.A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.At other times, the family will be at the home of Lloyd Tessneer, 124 Frank Clinton Road, Landrum, SC.The family would like to thank Dr. Wanda Starling and staff for their compassion.
