Columbus, NC - Paul Aime Michaud, 83, of Case St., Columbus, NC died Thursday, October 22, 2009 in Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.Born in Exeter, NH he was the son of the late George and Lydia Lafrance Michaud. Mr. Michaud was the widower of Isabel May Michaud who died in 2005. He was a veteran of WW II having served in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #250 and was a lifemember of VFW Post #10349. Mr. Michaud moved to Polk County, NC in 1989 from Exeter, NH. He was a member of Columbus Baptist Church., Columbus, NC. Surviving is one brother, David Michaud of Hopkinsville, KY and one sister Lillian Woodman of Bradenton, FL. Also surviving are 19 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Robert Capps officiating.Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC with Military Rites by Polk County Memorial Burial Squad.
