Columbus, NC- Patricia Ann West , 76, of Columbus, NC died January 23, 2016 at her residence in Columbus.She is the daughter of the late Boney and Beatrice Russell. She was the wife of the late Alvin West. She loved animals and animal rescue, and helped anyone she could. Patricia was a member of Midway Baptist Church, and enjoyed cooking for her family. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Black (Silas); a sister Debra Amburn, a son in law David Shehan; two grandchildren, Justin Pierce (Alivia) and John Shehan(Alison); two great-grand children Elizabeth and Emma.She is preceded in death by a daughter Ann Shehan, a son Mike West, a sister Faye Hampton, and a brother Donald Russell. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on January 29, 2016 in Polk Memorial Gardens at 2:00pm with Reverend John Edwards officiating.Memorials may be made to Foothills Humane Society, 989 Little Mountain Rd., Columbus, NC 28722
