Pantha Jackson Bridgeman, 90, of Columbus, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Born in Polk County, NC she was the daughter of the late Furman and Ollie Biddy Jackson. Her most important job in life was being a loving wife and mother to her five children, but she also was able to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a registered nurse. Pantha started working at St. Luke’s Hospital in 1972 and worked there for over 30 years. She was a member of Pacolet Baptist Church.

Pantha was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bridgeman and seven siblings.

Surviving are five children, Laura Meisner (Bruce), Cathy Smith (Mike), Jeff Bridgeman (Sandra), Lisa Prince (Doug) and Scott Bridgeman (Melissa), eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Ray Bridgeman and a sister-in-law, Brenda Walker.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, North Carolina officiated by Reverend Chad Bowen.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Burial will be at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC following the service.
