Mill Spring, NC- Pauline Laughter Stewart 79, of Mill Spring, NC passed away Friday afternoon, December 31, 2010 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, SC.Born in Polk Co, NC she was the daughter of the late Joseph" Fairy" and Minnie Martin Laughter. Mrs. Stewart was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Horace Laughter, three brothers James "Sodie", Leroy "Bud", and Joseph "Joe" Laughter. Also preceded in death by six infant siblings.Surviving are three sons, Danny Ruff of Sunnyview, NC, Leon Stewart and Jerry Stewart both of Mill Spring, NC; two daughters, Patricia Redden of Dana, NC and Darlene Kuhl of Rutherfordton, NC; six sisters, Betty Jackson, of Mill Spring, NC, Alma Laughter of Hendersonville, NC, Marie McEntyre of Rutherfordton, NC, Arrie Mills of Mill Spring, NC, Ann Murphy of Troutman, NC, and Dorothy Noblitt of Columbus, NC. Also fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday January 3, 2011 in Faith Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC with Rev. Tim Gouge officiating.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Family will receive friends prior to the service Monday from 10:00am to 11:00am in the church.Family will be at the home.
