Mill Spring, NC - Nicholas Wade McGuire, 8, of Will Edwards Road, Mill Spring, NC died Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC as the result of an automobile accident that also claimed the life of his grandmother, Isabel Davis Laughter.Born in Surry County, NC he was the son of Brian McGuire of Will Edward Road, Mill Spring, NC and Elizabeth K. Burchette of Elkin, NC. Nicholas moved to Polk County in 2011 coming from Elkin, NC. He was a second grader in Lake Lure Classical Academy. He attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Elkin, NC where he was active in Awana Sparks.Surviving along with his parents are: a brother, Alan Dakota Hartzog of Elkin, NC; 2 sisters Ashley McGuire and Laura McGuire of Max Meadows, VA; step brothers Bryson Laughter, Tyler Laughter and Clayton Burns all of Mill Spring, NC; stepmother, Julia Laughter of Mill Spring, NC; Maternal Grandparents, Garvey and Kay Burchette of Elkin, NC; a great-aunt, Gerry Leigh Miller of Winston Salem, NC and several cousins.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Beulah Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC with Rev. Joel Wright officiating.Family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 o'clock Noon to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service in Beulah Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC.Burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2014 in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Elkin, NC with Rev.
