COLUMBUS, NC - passed April 12, 2015. Born in Trondheim, Norway, he was the son of Nils Bergrud and Elvan Habicht.A master of the mechanical and the craftsmanship of a true artist, Nic was a genius in all fields. His interests also extended beyond machines. He loved nature and was in awe with all of her beauties and bounties.Nic lived to help his wife, Toni, with her dreams of owning a farm and caring for horses, and he did so with much diligence and vision. He also lived to see his daughters succeed in all of their dreams and endeavors.His legacy is upheld by his wife, Toni Bergrud, and his two daughters, Lauren and Tracey.A celebration of his life will be held at his family farm in Columbus, NC in the beginning of June.In lieu of gifts, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org, 4701 Hedgemore Dr. Suite 810, Charlotte, NC 28209.
