Neil Guy Townsend, 53, of Columbus passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021.Born in Chicago, he was the son of Helen Jones Townsend of Springfield, IL and the late Graydon Townsend. Neil was a truck driver and a member of Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church in Spartanburg.Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Sondra Wilkerson Townsend; two brothers, Gary Townsend and Patrick Dean both of Springfield, IL; two sisters, Bonnie Doranski (Larry) and Carol Tikalsky (Mark) both of Chicago, IL. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.No services are planned at this time.
