Collette Newman Morgan, 86, of Landrum passed away, Sunday morning, June 2, 109 at White Oak Manor of Tryon.Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Vance and Myrtle Wilkerson Newman and widow of Glenn P. Morgan who passed away in 2011. Mrs. Morgan enjoyed reading and was a member of First Baptist Church of Landrum.Surviving are two sons, Dirk Morgan (Mitzi) of Gastonia and Barry Morgan (Lora) of Columbus; four grandchildren, Blake Morgan, Dylan Morgan, Cole Morgan (Fiancé, Alayna Emminger) and Alea Morgan; one great-grandchild, Avery Morgan.A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in First Baptist Church of Landrum with Rev. Mark Bishop officiating.The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the church.Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Landrum.Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Landrum, 300 East Rutherford Street, Landrum, SC 29356.
